Overall, if you are looking at long term benefits and pay, a nurse. The starting aspects of the job are not that pretty, but once you gte past those bumps.. you stand to make good money. There is a huge shortage of nurses everywhere.
Being a dental assistant... well my mom was one. The job did give her flexibility with 5 kids... but the pay wasn't there and overall...the job wasn't as rewarding. I mean you can only get happy that someone has clean teeth so many times until that gets old. At least in nursing you will see different things and injuries and the rewarding part is watching someone heal, knowing that you are playing a role in their recovery. Good Luck making your decision.
Which is a better job, Dental assistant or nurse?
Depends what you want ...in life. Where ever you are ..its bcoz of your decisions.
Reply:Hitman. Then you can act like either one of those and gauge their eyes out. Three great jobs in one!
Reply:nurses make great money. there is a shortage of nurses so getting a job shouldn't be too hard. However, the education is very hard.
dental assistants don't get paid much (dentists are notoriously cheap) and there are lot of them because it is not hard to learn.
