Is it safe to have a dental job when you have diabetes?

If your talking about having dental work done on yourself, it is safe, but make sure the Dentist you go to knows you have it. As for working at a dental job, there isn't anything about having diabetes that would affect your work as long as you take your meds and eat when you should and what you should.

Is it safe to have a dental job when you have diabetes?
Sure there is no reason you can't do any job you want. Diabetes has no bearing on any of this.
Reply:Of course. As a diabetic, one should have the same opportunities as everyone else, no matter the job.

If you mean to have dental work done, definitely.
Reply:There is an increased risk, because when our blood glucose is high, infections can grow easier and faster. So make SURE you keep your blood sugar in line while your gums are healing, until there is no chance of getting germs into your blood stream from oral lacerations.

Also, gargling with a weak hydrogen peroxide solution (about 1%) several times a day will a) kill mouth baddies and, b) accelerate tissue healing. Best of luck.
