Dental Hygientist?? Do you like your job? Would you recommend going to school to become a dental hygientist?
My friend is a dental hygienist and she loves her job! The pay is pretty good and If you like people to have fresh clean teeth it's good.
Reply:Hello! I am a practicing dental hygienist and I LOVE my job. I work in a small general practice in a rural area. I would recommend going to school to become a dental hygienist. We have great working hours, holidays and weekends off, we get to interact and get to know our patients and form relationships with them and also receive great pay and benefits as well. I went to school and obtained a bachelors of science degree, however, I am the only hygienist whom is incorporated with my dental chain (of 5 offices and 7 full time hygienists) with a four year degree. The other hygienists have a two year associates degree and are just as competent as I believe I am. Good luck with your future career endeavor!
